Brandywine Realty Trust is on the verge of finalizing an agreement with a tenant for an entire lab space floor at Cira Centre in University City. CEO Jerry Sweeney mentioned that the prospective tenant, who remains undisclosed, is set to occupy the whole eighth floor spanning 27,386 square feet. This space is currently under development as part of the expansion of Brandywine’s B+labs incubator. This potential lease is one of several negotiations progressing in University City recently, reflecting a positive trend in the life sciences market. The Wistar Institute recently announced its plan to occupy over 25,000 square feet of lab and office space at 3675 Market St. Additionally, Brandywine (NYSE: BDN) is in the process of finalizing negotiations for lab space in its other nearby buildings.
